HOW ERAPIN WORKS
A 5-minute classroom drill, built and verified by social studies teachers like you.
THE ACTIVITY
Students see a historical event with a description, image, and era clue. They guess the year and place it on a world map. Closer guess means more points. Five events per session, takes about five minutes.
How teachers use it:
- Bell ringer at the start of class
- Plenary at the end of a unit
- Substitute teacher activity that runs itself
- Vocabulary and historical context review
Students join from any device — laptop, tablet, phone, Chromebook. No student accounts. No app to install. They enter a room code and play.
THE CONTENT
1,400+ historical events organized into 200+ packs covering major social studies frameworks.
Three pack types:
PERIOD PACKS
Chronological organization for course-aligned teaching. Each pack covers a specific time range — 1844–1877, 1914–1945, and so on.
TOPIC PACKS
Thematic organization for unit-based teaching. Cold War, Industrial Revolution, Civil Rights Movement, and more.
CURRICULUM UMBRELLAS
Full-course coverage when you want broad content for review or substitute coverage.
Each event includes:

✓ VERIFY CONTENT YOU TRUST
When you confirm an event is accurate, your verification appears on it. Other teachers see the verification count and use that confidence to pick content.

Yes. Browser-based, works on any device.
